Easy Slow Cooker Granola Recipe for Busy Moms

I thought I would share this recipe with you mamas, it's gold if you like tasty and healthy homemade granola- made easy!

I modified the original recipe I found online to fit what I had available in my cupboards. It turned out fantastic!

My kids loved it, I made it again today.

 

Easy Slow Cooker Granola Recipe for Busy Moms 

Ingredients:

5 cups of quick oats

1/2 cup of shredded coconut

1 cup of nuts (options: almonds, walnuts, toasted sunflower seeds, sesame seeds. Use what you have)

1/2 cup of dry fruit (options: raisins, cranberries, cherries, dates, etc)

2 Tbs. cinnamon

1/2 cup coconut oil

1/2 cup of honey (options: agave, maple syrup) 

1 Tbs. of vanilla (optional)

 

Directions:

1- Combine all the ingredients in a medium size slow cooker and stir well.

2- Cook covered in low for 1 hour.

3- Cook covered in low for another hour (stirring every 30 minutes)

4- Cook covered in low for another hour (stirring every 15 minutes) 

Done!

Let if cool and store in glass. Yeld about 60 oz of delicious granola.

Bonus: Your house will smell amazing!
